spring thing

Spring flowers have always brought me cheer. I am from South Florida and a time when that part of this country had just two seasons. In Alabama, we have two. Summer and Sprinter (Spring-Winter). The irises started returning about a month ago. Other flowers are blooming. Even our apple and blueberry blooms are out, signaling a new season.

I am hoping this pandemic will blow over soon and with it, these sorrowful times. Fortunately, the beauty still around us is always a source of healing/cheer. Below are the violets in our yard.IMG_9288

And nothing like a home cooked meal to really make one feel better. Oxtails below. Some of y’all know about that goodness.IMG_9303

Meanwhile, rosemary bush is crazy big. All sorts of healing properties. I’ve made rosemary-black sesame seed oil. Antifugal, antibacterial and helps with inflammation.
