Spring flowers have always brought me cheer. I am from South Florida and a time when that part of this country had just two seasons. In Alabama, we have two. Summer and Sprinter (Spring-Winter). The irises started returning about a month ago. Other flowers are blooming. Even our apple and blueberry blooms are out, signaling a new season.
I am hoping this pandemic will blow over soon and with it, these sorrowful times. Fortunately, the beauty still around us is always a source of healing/cheer. Below are the violets in our yard.
And nothing like a home cooked meal to really make one feel better. Oxtails below. Some of y’all know about that goodness.
Meanwhile, rosemary bush is crazy big. All sorts of healing properties. I’ve made rosemary-black sesame seed oil. Antifugal, antibacterial and helps with inflammation.
