Summer break off to a great start. I so enjoyed seeing Sue Cavanaugh’s “corporations aren’t people” show at the (Not)Sheep Gallery in Columbus, GA. All of this was made possibly by my tagging along to this city with my better half. He was attending a military history conference.
I was reenergized by seeing amazing art as well as meeting new and old friends/colleagues! Caren Petersen, owner of this gallery and Muse in the downtown Hilton, was just a joy to meet. Her vision for our shared better future is powerful.
Murals abound in this town! This one is at the Hilton’s front desk!
Ate ridiculous amounts of food. Martini’s the best, but the carmelized soup at Wolf Ridge’s Brewing was the best I have ever had!
Returned home to day lilies!
I put in organic seeds generously shared by Caren. May not be the right time, but what the heck. Let’s see how that kale and those peas do in Alabama soil. We just tilled and added compost.
Thank you, Caren!
And yes, it’s nice to be home. This piece by Deborah Griffing (repped by Caren) is latest to our home collection. No pun intended. It made me think of my mother and home. Happy Mother’s Day, All!
