I received this package today. I can’t wait to “mend.” Thank you, Krista.

I could literally feel myself breathing differently as I carefully opened this thoughtfully wrapped gift. And it is a gift to take time to move more slowly.

Simply touching the vintage fabrics brought back memories. One of them felt like a pillow case from my childhood.

The fabrics even matched the blossoming flowers in our front yard.

These blossoms, this gift and the memory of the great conversation had by the students in my graduate class as some of us sipped tea, ate chocolate, cookies and clementines make this gray day stunning. Papers to grade beckon as do a lecture and research. But so is mindful mending.
